Hockey RFP writers being known across fandoms as literary masters
When I first started reading MattDrai fics on AO3 I remember thinking “wait what the HELL is going on why is this the most consistently well-written fanfiction I’ve read in any fandom? Is this a thing? Do people know??” And apparently it is and they do.
I am so sorry to do this to you but I actually have to talk about it because it is a very specific and weird story. So pictured here is the longest escalator in the western hemisphere and it’s specifically western hemisphere because at the time of construction it was the cold war and usa government was in a dumb competition with ussr government to see who could build the longest fucking metro escalator which would prove….something, i guess. usa lost and the 3 longest escalators in the world are in St. Petersburg. so this and the st. petersburg one are all actually in fact freaky long escalators
once again saying. stop using spotify. the 1-2 punch of bandcamp and piracy is cool and good. renting access to your music library is bad and spotify is at the point where it needs to actually become profitable or its going to collapse. and its not going to become profitable. its going to get worse and more expensive and then collapse taking your entire library with it. get ahead of it start building an offline music library before your current rented library gets ethered
get a list of everything in your library so you can find the music again elsewhere. i dont have spotify so i cant test it but something like this

out of curiosity i wanted to compare this metric to david zaslav's salary, so lets specifically compare it to his earnings last year which was $39 million. if the studios referred to in this article continue to lose this amount consistently week to week, over the course of a whole year it STILL wouldn't total up to $39 million. it would take just shy of another 3 months for them to lose as much as this one man made in one year. that's how grotesquely overinflated his paycheck is and that is precisely why this strike needs to happen.
